EN: This millstone is on display in a small side alley in the historic center of northern Basel. It was a millstone of a mill called Klingentalmühle.
It was located at a canal through the quarter that was created in medieval time, today this canal does not exist anymore. The mill was abandoned in either 1907 or 1917, depending on the sources.
DE: Dieser Mühlstein ist in einer kleinen Seitengasse im historischen Zentrum von Kleinbasel ausgestellt. Es war ein Mühlstein einer Mühle namens Klingentalmühle.
Sie befand sich an einem Kanal durch das Viertel, das im Mittelalter entstand; heute existiert dieser Kanal nicht mehr. Die Mühle wurde je nach Quelle entweder 1907 oder 1917 aufgegeben.
