In Needham, within the Needham Cemetery, is the grave for Jonathon Kingsbury, who answered the call to Lexington and Concord and served during the fortification of Dorchester Heights that drove the British out of Boston.

The grave is located near the south edge of the cemetery, near Nehoiden Street. The best place to park is at the small parking lot by the administration office, along the eastern entrance from Nehoiden Street.

The grave is made of slate and is next to another grave for his wife. The text is specified below.

Findagrave.com has a page for this grave. It includes not only the text to the grave, but also a short biography of his service as a soldier in the American Revolutionary War. He marched under Col. William Heath's regiment to answer the call to Concord and Lexington. He also served under Col. McIntosh's regiment in the taking and fortifying of Dorchester Heights (now part of South Boston). This effort secured a strategic hill where the rebels could fire cannon out into the harbor. This weakened the British holding of Boston and eventually forced them out.

His wife was Jemima Skinner Kingsbury.
