Milford Dam is a concrete dam that spans the Penobscot River. It connects the towns of Milford and Old Town, Maine. The current dam was constructed in 1906 for the purpose of electrical power generation. The dam is about 20 feet tall and about 1400 feet long. The site has also been the location of previous dams for woolen mill and lumber mill purposes, including a timber dam that stretched across the river just upstream of the current dam. The dam has an attached hydroelectric station called the Bodwell Water Power Company Plant. The Bodwell Plant is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
