[NL]Het 'Joods monument' in Barneveld is een uit rode baksteen opgetrokken gedenksteen in de vorm van de davidster. In het midden is een bruine marmeren gedenkplaat met tekst aangebracht. Het gedenkteken is geplaatst op een rond plateau van keien. (

De groep bestond uit 700
bevoorrechte Joden (~500 in Barneveld) die geselecteerd waren op basis van hun rol in eerste wereldoorlog of hun maatschappelijke positie. De secretaris van het ministerie van Binnenlandse zaken, mr. dr. K. J. Frederiks heeft hier een belangrijke rol gespeeld en heeft afspraken weten te maken met de Schmidt, de Duitse NSDAP vertegenwoordiger in NL, en zo de SS buiten spel weten te zetten. Na hun deportatie (vlak na het overlijden van Schmidt) in 1943 zijn ze later in 1944 uitgeruild en in Zwitserland terecht gekomen.
[EN] The "Jewish monument" in Barneveld is a red brick memorial built in the shape of the Star of David. In the middle is a brown marble plaque with text applied. The memorial is located on a plateau of around boulders.

The group consisted of 700
privileged Jews (~ 500 in Barneveld) who were selected based on their role in world War I or their social position. The Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. KJ Frederiks has played an important role and has managed to make appointments with Schmidt, the German Nazi Party representative in the Netherlands, and so the SS sidelined. After their deportation (shortly after the death of Schmidt) in 1943, they were later exchanged in 1944 and ended up in Switzerland.
