This well known sculpture is a 2nd century AD Roman replica of a 2nd century BC Greek original. The work depicts Aglaia (Beauty), Euphrosyne (Mirth) and Thali (Abundance). A Museum placard explains that the Three Graces "bestow that which is beneficent in nature and society: fertility and growth, the arts, and harmony between men. Cults were established around them, especially in Greece and Asia Minor, in mythology, they grace festivals and serve as handmaidens to Aphrodite."
There are different versions of this theme. The Wikipedia page for these sculptures (
