This is a very active community hall providing residents with a place to meet. We were there on a day when the hall was packed with local residents discussing a possible road widening. However, we did decide to return the next day for our photo op.

The community hall is an excellent, well maintained full service facility. It is a perfect place for hosting your community event, family reunion, training seminar, company dinner, horseshoe tournament, pancake breakfast, flea market or you name it.

Wheelchair accessible ramp and washrooms are within the facility. Fully equipped indoor kitchen, meeting rooms, main hall with stage, outdoor concession kitchen with lots of picnic tables, ball Field (missed that), Bocce (missed that) and horseshoe pits (missed that).

It must have been all the snow on the ground that we miss these: that is our story and we are sticking to it.

However, all was not lost: we did find a Veteran Memorial, ice skating rink and the recycle dumpsters.

Local residents and non-residents can rent the hall and all its amenities using a sliding scale rental fee schedule. Local residents in the 424 dialing area will receive a 10% discount.

Annually, in January, there is a Winterfest which include winter sports and other activities. Twice a week are "Stretch and Breath" classes and carpet bowling. Bingo is held every second Sunday - September to May at 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Once a month the Yahk Kingsgate Recreation Society meet to discuss concerns about the hall and schedule activities.
