In Germany love padlocks are not only at bridges! The Otto Lighthouse (official name Pilsum Lighthouse, see also WMKAZ2) was built in 1891 on a North Sea dyke near the small village Pilsum in Krummhörn area, Eastern Frisia. It is retired long ago and used as a tourist attraction and for marriages now. The height is 11 metres and the famous colours are red and yellow. The lighthouse was used in the poplar German movie "Otto – Der Außerfriesische" by comedian Otto Waalkes. Otto lived there in the movie what gives the lighthouse its nickname.
