In 1915 there was a Baptist Church in Cranbrook, a small wood frame building. Built circa 1905, apparently it was originally a Methodist church and was later taken over by the Baptists. It's unknown how long this church served the congregation.
This church looks to be quite new and has no visible date or dated cornerstone. It is, as would be expected, substantially larger than the older one, with a very large ground to ceiling window and a stone faced wall at one end of the sanctuary. The church appears to have a large hall attached on the east side of the building, opposite to the sanctuary entrance.
An interesting feature of this church is a very tall, slender spike atop the sanctuary, which, I suppose, serves in lieu of a steeple.
