After looking at this honey extractor a bit, I realize how it works. Two at a time, the beekeeper inserts honeycombs from his hives into the two baskets in the extractor, then madly cranks the handle. This spins the honeycombs inside the extractor, allowing centrifugal force to draw the honey from the honeycombs. There's a drain hole in the bottom of the tub which allows the honey to slowly run out.

This honey extractor is actually small and mostly likely used by a local farmstead, with two benefits the honey and the bees assisted with pollination.

This honey extractor is approximately 100 years old, if not older.
