On the east side of West Government Way, it is across the street from another of its sister cemeteries, Greenwood Memorial Terrace. A large cemetery, Riverside Memorial Park has, to date, seen more than 5,500 burials since its inception in 1907. Years later, on November 27, 1914, the Riverside Park Cemetery Association was established and in 1971 Riverside Memorial Park became a part of the Fairmount Memorial Association.
The park is 161 acres in size, with 85 acres developed to date with approximately 13,282 interments and is still active. The cemetery has an on site funeral home and crematory, as well as police, fire fighter and 911 memorials. There are also war and personal memorials to be found in the cemetery.
