Fine late medieval font with an octagonal bowl carved with the symbols of the Evangelists alternating with angles holding shields on an octagonal stem carved with stylised seated lions and slender buttresses.
Well preserved and appears to have escaped the defacement of the puritans during the civil war. From talking to the church warden, this was apparently because a relative of Cromwell lived nearby and used this church, although I have been unable to substantiate this claim.
