When first recorded in the 1860's the stone was standing against a hedge where only the front was visible. Road alterations in recent years has meant the cross has been moved, and now sits on a wide grass verge.
The head is similar to that of the Trevillett cross, having the cross formed by cutting four triangular sinkings.
There is an OS benchmark cut low on the shaft.
