Bogor is a satellite city of the conurbation of Jakarta, located approximately an hour plus and seventy kilometres of train travel south of central Jakarta. The station here is clearly of the colonial period, large, and running along the track. The original station building is closed, and appears to be undergoing a slow renovation. There is a somewhat modern looking station adjacent (with a Dunkin Donuts), where passengers purchase tickets and congregate. Outside the station is a jumble of small shops, motorbikes, and lots of people, a market area.
