"Sunflower Girl" stands on a bronze plate atop a concrete pedestal which is located on a free-form stone patio. This life sized sculpture is of a young barefoot girl, holding two sunflowers in her right hand and a basket in her left. She is dressed in a bib-front play suit and has a sun hat on her head. Her skin has a tan-colored patina.
A bronze plaque on the pedestal reads:
"SUNFLOWER GIRL"

L'Deane Trueblood is a sculptor who grew up in Norman and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. She is best known for her sculptures of children.
