This sculpture is a large reproduction of a famous photograph by Lalo Vazquez. Vazquez captured several female soldiers on a train during the Mexican Revolution. See the photo here (visit link) The sculpture is of the young woman on the far left who, while grasping handles with both hands, leans forward to anxiously see the progress of the train.
