Old Main Class of 1909 Window -- Main Building, University of Texas, Austin TX - Stained Glass Windows on Waymarking.com

When The University of Texas' beloved Victorian Gothic Old Main building was razed in 1935 to make way for the current Main Building, several of its pieces and parts were rescued and preserved. They are scattered around Austin and the University of Texas. See here for one remnant that has found a new home as the Gethsemane Church doors: (visit link)

While poking around the Main Building, a nice lady in the Science Library told Mama Blaster about a wonderful stained glass window from the Old Main Building in the Provost's Office.

The ladies in the Provost's Office were more than happy to show off the window, the gift of the class of 1909.

The University of Texas Provost's office in is Room 201, on the second floor of the Main Building.

Anyone is welcome to see the window -- just stop at the receptionist's desk and she will direct you to the waiting room where it is installed.
