My commentary:
This Piece is entitled Flame. It was sculpted by Lin Emery and it was given by the people of Lawrence, Kansas. The people of Lawrence are very aware of how Quantrill's Raid shaped their history and this piece is one way they commemorate the loss and the rebirth of their city. This aluminum mobile symbolizes the flames of the Raid on August 21, 1863.
