Bayreuth Hauptbahnhof liegt an mehreren Bahnstrecken, davon sind drei Hauptstrecken. Der Bahnhof gehört zur Bahnhofskategorie 3 und zum Verbundgebiet des Verkehrsverbunds Großraum Nürnberg. Er ist der größte Bahnhof in Bayreuth sowie die bedeutendste der vier – von ehemals zehn – im heutigen Stadtgebiet verbliebenen Bahnstationen.
Bayreuth Main-Trainstation is due to several rail lines, of which there are three main routes. The station belongs to category 3 station and the network area of the Greater Nuremberg Transport Network. It is the largest train station in Bayreuth and the most important of the four - formerly of ten - remaining in today's city train stations.
