Villard-de-Lans is a commune in the Isère department in south-eastern France. The town is a centre for skiing in winter and hiking and hot air ballooning in other seasons.
At the 1968 Winter Olympics held in neighbouring Grenoble, Villard-de-Lans played host to the luge events.

Mikolajki is a town in Mragowo County in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in north-eastern Poland. The town is located near Sniardwy, the largest lake of the Masurian Lake District.
The town was a growing tourist center before the war, and is now one of the largest tourist sights in Masuria. The ice sailing in winter is an especially popular attraction.
