The main entrance to Dexter Hall is in the center of the building. This door way is in the right ell. The door is a double 6 panel door with windows in 2 of the panels with a large fanlight over the doors. The door way is recessed from a granite stoop which is 2 steps up. The trim and decorative portal looks to made of limestone against the brick building. The limestone awing protects the entrance and is quite ornate. The awning is supported by 2 Ionian columns that have brackets to hold up the roof. The awning itself is flat on either side with a curved middle section that coincides with the arched doorway.
