Long Description:
Tennie Rosetta Pittman was born in Rogers, Arkansas. She is laid to rest in Rush Springs Cemetery, alongside her husband, Homer, who passed away in 1976. Theirs is a pink granite headstone with the surname PITTMAN at the center top. Each of their names and dates is inscribed on an open Bibles in the lower corner of the headstone.

Tennie's inscription reads:

Jan. 22, 1900
Apr. 6, 2001

* The Boy Scouts of America was founded the year Tennie turned ten.
* Tennie was 25 at the opening of the Chicago World's Fair.
* India became a republic, no longer under British rule when Tennie was fifty.
* Barry Manilow's "Mandy" went gold the year Tennie was 75.
* The year Tennie turned 100, the world was heaving a sigh of relief at having survived Y2K.
* Wikipedia went online, just a few days following Tennie's passing.
