In Arlington, at Menotomy Rocks Park, people can bring their dogs and let them run and play without a leash.
The park is located in a residential area. One entrance is at Jason Road. Another area is where Churchill Ave. and Valley Road intersect.
There is a pond where dogs often go in (not for humans, however). The grassy areas allow lots of room to go. At the time of the visit on a Saturday morning, there were large groups of people and dogs, all having a good time.
There are posted signs with the rules:
-Hours posted:
6:00-9:00 am every day all year round.
-No off-leash activity in the woods at any time.
-Clean up after the dog
-Keep dogs within sight at all times
-Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated
-Keep dogs away from playground area
-No more than two dogs per handler
