A relative newcomer as churches in the area go, Northwood traces its history back only to 1958, when construction was begun on the first half of the present building.

A two part church, original construction was completed in 1958. A short four years later the church was in need of a larger sanctuary, construction of which was begun in 1962. Visually striking, this sanctuary is topped with a "pleated", steeply pitched roof with matching dormers at the eaves, above the row of windows beneath. Above the entrance to the sanctuary large windows soar to the peak of the roof. Inside, the sanctuary is finished with beautiful wood trimmings and a large cross rising out of river rock.

Sunday Service takes place at 10:30 AM, with child care services and children's services concurrent.
