Description of Memorial: The cemetery where this Veterans Memorial is located is 26 acres in size and is located on land that was deeded to the City of Jacksonville Beach to be used as a burial area. The cemetery's namesake, H. Warren Smith, served as the mayor of the town of Pablo Beach in 1914. In 1925, the town of Pablo Beach was incorporated as the city of Jacksonville Beach. There are approximately 5,000 grave sites in the cemetery with approximately 3,500 headstones.
