Lovejoy Park is located between Third and Fourth on SW Hall. The best way to reach both Lovejoy and Pettygrove Parks is to ride the free streetcar south past Portland State University getting off at SW Third Avenue and Harrison Street. Lovejoy is south and Pettygrove is north of the streetcar stop.

Lovejoy Park is located between Third and Fourth on SW Hall. The best way to reach both Lovejoy and Pettygrove Parks is to ride the free streetcar south past Portland State University getting off at SW Third Avenue and Harrison Street. Lovejoy is south and Pettygrove is north of the streetcar stop. The main feature of Lovejoy Park is the stair-step waterfalls designed by Halprin and Associates in 1968 for the Portland Development Commission. It celebrates the waterfalls and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Asa Lovejoy co-founded Portland with Francis Pettygrove.
