War Defence Boundary Stone in Star Lane

This marker is on the left hand side of the road as you head downhill towards the closed off section of Star Lane. It looks like its numbered as WD 83. It is located on a grassy bank near trees on the side of the road and is about one foot tall with the bank built up to the top level at the back. The stone is showing signs of age, but clearely visible.
Type of survey mark: Stone War Defence Boundary Stone with the letters and numbers WD83 etchedinto the stone. It also has a bench mark cut between the W and D
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
As you walk down Star Lane from Darland Road you wil see the gate accross the road. Opposite the stone is a muddy lay by where some cars can be parked. It is also next to a large modern post with a large letter "V" on it.
