This solid granite memorial honors those who have received the Purple Heart. As the marker states "All gave some -Some gave all"

The front of the marker tells of the Purple Heart:

The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the armed forces of the United States who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy and posthumously to the next of kin in the name of those who are killed in action or die of wounds received in action. It is specifically a combat decoration.

On the reverse side is a quote by Douglas MacArthur:

The Purple Heart is a unique decoration. It is the only one from which is eliminated any application of privilege or special election. It is conferred solely by enemy action and therefore not beholden to any other influence. It bears testimony for all time and for all eyes of a great sacrifice. It signals the blood you have spilled in battle for our beloved country. There could be no greater honor.
Douglas MacArthur
