Horny railroad workers, isolated in the middle of nowhere for extended periods of time, may try anything on for size. So the railroad makes sure that they know not to abuse this dining car, which was renovated to feed them.
"Do Not Hump" refers to the practice of sorting railroad cars by rolling them off the top of a rise or 'hump' so that they will roll under the force of gravity to the spot in a classification yard where they belong. Cars of this type were not designed to withstand the stresses sometimes encountered in this procedure, so no 'humping' allowed!
