This mark consists of a bronze RM disk set flush in the concrete parapet, and is located near the west end of the batteries. It is also roughly in-line with FORT MOTT (JU3776) and FORT MOTT RM 1 (AA7190) - running in a line WNW to ESE. This mark is about 5' S of a fence keeping visitors from the edge of the parapet.

DESCRIBED BY NEW JERSEY GEODETIC SURVEY 1994 (ECB) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN PENNSVILLE TOWNSHIP ON THE GROUNDS OF THE FORT MOTT STATE PARK, LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE KILLCOHOOK NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF THE SOUTHBOUND LANES OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 295 AND STATE ROUTE 49 AT INTERCHANGE 1A, GO EAST ON STATE ROUTE 49 FOR 3.5 MI (5.6 KM) TO THE TEE INTERSECTION WITH FORT MOTT ROAD, COUNTY ROAD 630, ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND GO 1.9 MI (3.1 KM) TO A STOP SIGN AT A TEE INTERSECTION. TURN RIGHT AND GO 1.2 MI (1.9 KM) TO THE ENTRANCE DRIVE LEADING TO FORT MOTT STATE PARK ON THE RIGHT. TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.1 MI (0.2 KM) TO A WOOD GATE MARKED OFFICIAL VEHICLES ONLY. PASS THROUGH THE GATE AND FOLLOW THE PARK ROAD TO A TEE ROAD JUNCTION ON THE LEFT, JUST PAST BATTERY GREGG. TURN LEFT AND GO BETWEEN BATTERY GREGG AND ANOTHER BATTERY AND FOLLOW A SAND ROAD FOR 0.3 MI (0.5 KM) TO THE END OF TRUCK TRAVEL. PARK TRUCK AND PACK UPHILL, CLIMBING TWO SETS OF STEPS TO THE TOP OF THE EMBANKMENT AND THE STATION AHEAD. THE STATION IS A STANDARD REFERENCE MARK DISK STAMPED, FORT MOTT NO. 2 1933, CEMENTED FLUSH IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE CONCRETE PLATFORM, NEAR THE WESTERNMOST END OF BATTERY ARNOLD. THE STATION IS 24 FT (7.3 M) NORTH FROM THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE SLOPING CONCRETE WALL OF THE BATTERY AND 36 FT (11.0 M) EAST FROM THE WEST EDGE OF THE BATTERY.
