This is a well staffed house, with 32 members on the board of directors, 5 full-time and 17 part-time staff, and over 500 volunteers. It opened in 1987 with 14 private guest rooms. In 2000 they added another 7 quest rooms. As of 2012, their 25th anniversary, they had taken in over 11,000 families experiencing medical crises.
Besides the Ronald McDonald House this branch sponsors two Family Rooms in Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, allowing families to rest right at the hospital, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile clinic, taking health care to children in central Washington.
