Daisy Ellen Alger is laid to rest in Pleasant View Cemetery. This is an open, treeless cemetery northeast of Union City, with about 100 burials.
Her headstone is a vertical gray granite stone with a curved top. Flowers are engraved in the upper corners. The surname in large letters is engraved in the center. There are two lighter colored panels, one of which reads:
Daisy Ellen
Apr. 10, 1900
Oct. 15, 2000
Sharing this headstone is Ada Elizabeth Alger (1895-1975). According to Find a Grave, she does not appear to be a sister of Daisy.
* The year Daisy was born, Ferdinand von Zeppelin's airship invention was first flown.
