The Miriam/I.O.O.F. Cemetery was established in 1870. It is located in the northwest portion of the city of Bethany, and is generally considered the City Cemetery. Although it was formally established as the Miriam-I.O.O.F Cemetery in 1870, the original Miriam Cemetery dates back to the 1850s.

Due to its size, the Miriam / I.O.O.F. Cemetery was surveyed in segments. Each portion will include a description of its location in the cemetery. Each segment is alphabetized by surname.

Part One of the survey was conducted on Dec 10, 2002 by Phil & Kathi Stewart and is of burials along the very western edge of the cemetery, from the southwest corner, north to the section that is directly west of the maintenance building.
