The Atherstone Red Lion Hotel is an independently owned and operated traditional coaching inn dating back to the 1500s, situated in the heart of Atherstone. It has been lovingly restored and updated to provide everything you would expect from a hotel which prides itself on being at the heart of the community.

The old coaching inn, Red Lion, was immortalised by George Eliot in her novel Middlemarch and the Three Tuns, and is where Henry Tudor is believed to have slept on the eve of the Battle of Bosworth in 1845.

The Red Lion Hotel was lovingly restored and extended a few years ago, independently owned and operated which means tradition and service are vitally important.

Real ale and good food are served and more details can be found on their website;
