Scott, Charles Frederick : b. September 7, 1860 d. September 18, 1938 US Congressman. He was elected to represent Kansas in the United States House of Representatives (first as an At-Large Delegate, then 2nd District), serving from 1901 to 1911.
Funston, Edward Hogue : b. September 16, 1836 d. September 10, 1911
US Congressman. During the Civil War he served in the Union Army as a 1st Lieutenant in the 16th Battery, Ohio Volunteer Light Artillery, and participated in the engagements along the Mississippi River. After the war he moved to a prairie farm near Carlyle, Allen County, Kansas in 1867. Involved in Kansas politics, he was a member of the Kansas State House of Representatives from 1873 to 1876 and served as Speaker in 1875. He was later elected as member of the Kansas State Senate.
