I recovered this U.S. General Land Office Survey pip cap in good condition. It is monumented in a concrete obelisk post which stands about three feet high. The cap is stamped 'Post No. 111' and serves as a boundary line marker for the NE corner of what is known to locals as the 'panhandle' of Crater Lake National Park.
The NGS datasheet description is adequate with the exception of there being no 'log portal'. I also did not notice another nearby U.S.G.S. benchmark (most likely a pipe cap) 19 feet to the west of this boundary post. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.
