USGLO 42L Border Monument '108M' - Oregon/California - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This U.S. General Land Office Survey cap from 1916 was recovered in poor condition. Although the cap itself was in good condition, the iron pipe it was monumented on was loose at its base and was propped up by lava rocks and can be easily removed. This border monument divides Oregon and California and is located along the 42° Latitude. The cap contains the designation stamping of '108M', '42L', 'OREGON', 'CALIFORNIA' and '16' (for 1916) on the cap face.

To reach this border monument, you'll need to park just off Copco Lake Rd and walk about 400 feet to the NW to monument location. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this monument. *CAUTION* the terrain to get to this monument is very steep and not recommended in inclimate weather.
