L'église a été construite entre 1825 et 1827 par l'entrepreneur François Audet d'après les plans de l'architecte Thomas Baillairgé et de l'abbé Jérôme Demers. Les murs sont en pierre et la toiture est en tôle. Une imposante statue du Sacré-Coeur est érigée depuis 1914 devant l'église.
The church was built between 1825 and 1827 by François Audet, contractor, according to the plans of architect Thomas Baillairge and Jerome Demers, priest. The walls are made of stone and the roof is metal. An imposing statue of the Sacred Heart was erected in 1914 in front of the church.
