Beautifully restored, the 1905 Santa Fe Depot now houses an historical museum well worth the visit.

This frame Santa Fe Depot was constructed in 1905 and served Pauls Valley until 1979 when the Lone Star passenger train service ended. The depot fell into disrepair and was scheduled for demolition in 1989. After local citizens fought for its preservation, the City purchased the depot and in 1992, remodeling began. Today the depot is a beauty. It houses a museum that contains many historic photos and memorabilia from the early days of Pauls Valley, plus railroad historical items.
The museum is open Tuesday thru Friday from 9-4:30 and on Saturday from 1-4:309. It is closed Sunday and Monday. Come enjoy the many items preserved from the past. While here, walk through the city park just north of the depot and see the 1907 Locomotive and coal tender, and caboose on display.
A second small depot was erected in 2002 to serve passengers on the Heartland Flyer service which runs from Oklahoma City to Ft. Worth. The train arrives in Pauls Valley at 9:31AM and returns from Ft. Worth at 8:21PM.
