Cokato is a small community in Wright County, Minnesota, just west of Minneapolis.
It has a population of 2,694 as of the 2010 census and has stayed about the same, population wise, since the 2000 census.
It was named after the Sioux word for “at the middle”. The first settlers came to the area in 1858. These settlers were speculators from the east coast, namely New York, New Hampsire, and Maine. Not long after, European settlers from Finland, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Poland, and Bohemia arrived and settled in the area.
The church that has this stained glass window is the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The church has Sunday services at 10 am, with a contemporary service on the second Sunday of the month.
