Conroe Founders Park is located at 205 Metcalf St. in Conroe, TX -- just a block South of the County's courthouse and within the city's downtown district.
It only covers just over 0.5 acres but is a convenient gathering point for recreational activities, special events and relaxation in the heart of the downtown area. Also, as it's located immediately adjacent to the Owen Theatre, it provides space for theatrical events and other related cultural city programs.
The parks boasts two small bronze sculptures: "The Cellist" in honor of the Young Texas Artists Music Competition, and a bust of Dave Parsons, 2011 Texas Poet Laureate, in honor of Conroe's own celebrated poet. The sculptures were created by artist Craig Campobella.
