"In 1899 was officially born in Florence the first community Evangelical Lutheran German and in 1901 the architect Riccardo Mazzanti designed the new church between Via dei Bardi and the Lungarno Torrigiani, facing a picturesque square overlooking the river.
Damaged during the war and the flood of 1966, was restored by Vinicio Brilli.
On the facade, which refers to the Romanesque Venetian chromatically with the white stone and red brick, opens a porch in neo-medieval, supported by two columns decorated with blind arches and wall units. On top of it, the façade has a portico formed by a blind pentafora central and two lateral mullioned windows; higher is the rose window.
The interior of the church is marked by extreme simplicity linear. It has a single nave covered with wooden trusses and ending in a semicircular apse where is the marble altar, consisting of a table resting on Corinthian columns, on his left, the wooden pulpit. On the opposite, is the choir, with a balustrade decorated with symbols of the four evangelists."
