DESCRIBED BY RIVERSIDE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL 1988 (GPD) THE STATION IS ABOUT 9 MI (14.5 KM) EAST OF PALM SPRINGS IN THE TOWN OF THOUSAND PALMS. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 10 AND RAMON ROAD, ABOUT 1.0 MI (1.6 KM) WEST OF THOUSAND PALMS, GO EAST ON RAMON ROAD FOR ABOUT 3.75 MI (6.03 KM) TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, NORTH SIDE OF RAMON ROAD. IT IS ABOUT 0.25 MI (0.40 KM) WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF RAMON ROAD AND THOUSAND PALMS CANYON ROAD. THE STATION IS A 9/16 IN STAINLESS STEEL ROD SET INSIDE AN ACCESS COVER MARKED RIVERSIDE COUNTY SURVEYOR. IS ABOUT 40 FT (12.2 M) NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF RAMON ROAD AND NEAR A UTILITY COMPANY WARNING SIGN.
