While visiting Castle Crags State Park I came across an Indian mortar while viewing a small pond behind the main office to the park. I inquired about the mortar with the park ranger and he confirmed that it was indeed an Indian morter that was discovered a number of years ago on park property and relocated here for visitors to admire. Unfortunately, there is no placard or educational sign that describes this mortar.

This park contains some wonderful hiking and walking trails and is highly recommended for some beautiful views of Castle Crags.
