A local farmer, who apparently lives in town, parks his tractors alongside the highway for everyone to admire when they aren't actually out in the field earning their keep. All of the tractors, most dating back to the 1950s or earlier, show signs of being well maintained and the effects of recent use.
The John Deere Model 40T (for Tricycle) was one of seven variants of this model. The 40 was manufactured from 1953 to 1955 with a total of approximately 18,000 being built.
