Wheeled plows allowed greater control over the depth of cut of the plowshare(s). They were generally not developed until the advent of the farm tractor as they took more power to pull. This was a tractor-drawn plow as evidenced by the adjustment levers buing slanted forward toward an operator sitting on the tractor.
