Kite Hill is an open space hilltop near the west end of the Castro district. With few tree on the hill it's certainly a good place to fly a kite. It's also has a small hiking path system and can be a good place to walk your dog. There are some benches at the top to enjoy the views, but no picnic tables.
There are trail entry point all around the surrounding streets, most going up. If you park at the end of Grand View Terrace, you're practically at the top of the hill.
At the park corner near 19th and Yukon Streets, the foliage is think with small paths that lead through an ornamental garden of succulent plants.
