Long Description:A 25' high by 4.75' square gray granite obelisk stands in a 5' square stone foundation. The obelisk was fabricated by Burdick & Company and Greene and Turner were the contractors. The obelisk was dedicated on April 12, 1866.
The front of the base, just below the shaft, of the obelisk is inscribed in raised letters: 1865.
Below, in a recess in the dado, is inscribed in raised letters:
