La maison a été construite en 1842, à l'angle des rues Couillard et St-Jean. En 1875, un salon-restaurant donnant sur la rue St-Jean est ouvert sous le nom de 'Central House'. En 1889, le bâtiment est occupé par le photographe Jules-Ernest Livernois. Celui-ci achète l'immeuble en 1892. L'année suivante, des activités de grossiste en produits pharmaceutiques sont ajoutées à celles du studio de photographie. Le restaurant Pub St-Patrick occupe présentement le bâtiment.
The house was built in 1842 at the corner of St.Jean and Couillard streets. In 1875, a restaurant lounge facing the St.Jean street is opened. In 1889, the building is occupied by photographer Jules-Ernest Livernois. It bought the building in 1892. The following year, the activities of pharmaceutical wholesaler are added to those of the photograph studio. Restaurant Pub St. Patrick is now in this building.
