The Riverton Train Station was built by the Chicago & North Western Railway during 1906 and 1907 just weeks after the city was formed and settled as a result of the Homestead Act. The station is now on the National Register of Historic Places and is the last remaining Chicago & North Western Railway station west of Casper.
