This fountain is located in Locarno on Piazza Pedrazzini. It is the center of a quarter that was developed in the early 20th century.
It is a large stone fountain with several basins and four bronze sculptures. The fountain (and the place) was named after Giovanni Pedrazzini (1852 - 1922) a leading local industrialist of the 19th century; he was founder and president of the local electricity supplier and involved in the founding of the Maggia valley railway and Madonna del Sasso funicular, and also member of the parliament of the canton of Ticino.
